The aim of Testfakta’s quality labelling of beds is to highlight high-quality beds with good comfort characteristics, and guide the consumer to more sustainable products.
The laboratory tests that form the basis of Testfakta’s quality labels are carried out by EIM Ergonomie Institut München, RISE Research Institutes of Sweden and the Swedish IVF Institute for Industrial Engineering Research.
The tests cover the main aspects of ergonomics, microclimate, endurance, strength, as well as textile quality and purity from harmful chemicals.
Best in test means that a bed or mattress received the highest overall rating in a comparative test of beds within a certain category for a certain market.
The selection of beds in a comparative test includes comparable models from the largest brands and private labels on the market within a specific category. To qualify for the Best in test label, the bed or mattress must fulfill the requirements for Testfakta Verified Quality & Comfort (see below).
Different categories of beds and mattresses
Verified Quality & Comfort means that the bed or mattress has passed the test with high overall grade and without underperforming in any specific test parameter (see criteria below).
The quality stamp thereby ensures that the bed maintains a consistently high level both in terms of comfort and quality.
Verified Quality & Comfort is issued for three different body types (expect for topper mattresses), where the bed or mattress meets the requirements for ergonomic properties.
1: Smaller/lighter approx. 155 cm/ 50-55 kg
2: Medium/medium weight approx. 175 cm/ 70-75 kg
3: Larger/heavier approx. 185 cm/ 85-90 kg
